University of Texas and NetroMedia announce partnership

May 26, 2006 6

Jim Piper, NetroMedia Director of Global Online is proud to announce the introduction of an inbound marketing campaign for the University of Texas Weslayan Law School.

"The administration wanted to reach out to alumni and students with a streaming video campaign delivered through an open source email editor," said Mr. Piper. "The ability to hyperlink streaming media through our portal will allow the school’s messaging to be defined to specific demographics."

With online broadcasters moving to deliver content at commercial levels, Content Delivery Networks are now required to integrate streaming portal systems to support these initiatives. “Behavioral changes in how online brands are delivered will continue to strengthen as customer engagement programs intensify,” said Mr. Piper.

“NetroMedia’s online portal technology radically improves the management and distribution of content to all media devices,” said NetroMedia CEO Che Pinkerton. “Interactive streaming has always been more intricate than conventional HTTP distribution and we are pleased to offer our clients access to their global distribution network through this new portal.”

For the University of Texas Weslayan Law School content team, the NetroMedia streaming portal creates unlimited administrative options. Clients can create new accounts, open publishing points and review streaming statistics in a real-time environment.

“The typical NetroMedia client has been webcasting video for a very long time,” said Jason Potter, NetroMedia Director of Client Services. “The goal of the new online portal was to address the emerging management requirements of various media platforms streaming to broadband, wireless and set-top devices.”
