Mexican Trade Mission 2011

In response to colossal digital technologies growth in Latin America, this spring, NetroMedia joined the Canadian Federal Government’s trade mission to Mexico.

The Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) invited Canadian exporters to participate in the ICT mission to Mexico, February 21-25, 2011. The Embassy of Canada and its Consulates in Mexico organized matchmaking one-on-one meetings with Mexican counterparts (potential buyers, distributors or government officials) according to the Canadian clients’ interest and needs. The mission included Mexico City with an option to cover Guadalajara and/or Monterrey.

3 CITIES, 20 MEETINGS, 3 NETWORKING NIGHTS (AND WE GOT TO CATCH UP WITH NETROMEDIA CLIENTS…ALL IN 1 WEEK!)

Whew! Wow! On the 23rd and 24th of February 2011 in Mexico City and on the 25th in Guadalajara, NetroMedia participated in theICT mission to Mexico to showcase unique streaming solutions and online media asset management services. NetroMedia unveiled some of its future development plans at the event, including a multi-lingual Streaming Management Portal scheduled to be released in 2011.On top of our existing mobile streaming solutions, we went to this event with improved live streaming services to mobile devices – including a new server-side bandwidth and protocol detection technology, an upgraded Custom Media Player and our VSiCaster unit for easy cross-platform Webcasting. Following the success of our visit to NAB 2010 conference and exhibition and MWC 2011, we continued our tradition of conducting one-on-one business meetings during the Mexico Trade Mission 2011.
