One month after the devastating earthquake in Haiti, World Food Programme (WFP) hosted a high-level meeting in Rome to discuss how UN agencies, donors and governments can support Haitian-led food security in the future.

Jacques Diouf, Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Josette Sheeran, Executive Director of the World Food Programme (WFP), and Kanayo Nwanze, President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) were key participants at the meeting.
Also present were representatives from the U.S. Department of State and the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Relations, as well as key figures from the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, the UN High-Level Task Force for the Global Food Crisis, the UN Haiti Special Envoy and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation in Agriculture.
