BufferBlaster is a component to NetroMedia’s service which can dramatically reduce startup or “buffering” time. Using advanced networking technologies, NetroMedia can actually speed load your stream to your audience. We can actually make your audience capable of receiving a higher bitrate of bandwidth than your stream is actually running. For example, you may have a 1 minute video encoded at 300k that a user on a corporate network wishes to view. Instead of sending him 300k during the buffering stage, BufferBlaster will take full advantage of the end users available bandwidth and send a higher streaming bitrate to pre-load the viewer. It will pre-load the content at blazing speeds that can actually out perform a DVD player.
2. FireStream
