NetroMedia to Join Canadian ICT Mission to CeBIT Turkey 2011

September 23, 2011 13

NetroMedia today announced plans to accept the Canadian Consulate in Istanbul’s invitation to attend CeBIT Eurasia Bilisim from October 6 to 9, 2011. The company will showcase its live mobile streaming services at the information and communications technologies (ICT) trade show in Istanbul, Turkey.

NetroMedia’s innovative live mobile streaming solutions enable organizations to broadcast to all devices with a single stream, which significantly reduces infrastructure and resource requirements. The company will demonstrate streaming to any device, including tablet, set-top box, PC, Mac, and mobile (iPhone, Android and BlackBerry) in the Canadian Pavillion at Hall A, Stand 2-A45.

“One of our Turkish clients, 6 News, streams everything from world news to arts to all devices, including mobile,” said Taher Altayeb, NetroMedia’s manager to the Middle East. “We’re eager to show other organizations in the area what our streaming solutions can do for their reach.”

Educational and public sector organizations, which together make up 46 percent of non-ICT CeBIT Bilisim attendees, will have the opportunity to discuss streaming applications with NetroMedia, which has a decade of experience serving these sectors. The company provides streaming services that create a virtual link to the classroom for educational institutions including the University of Adelaide and Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. NetroMedia also provides tailored solutions for public sector institutions and governments interested in providing greater transparency to its citizens. The Office of the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago, for example, leverages NetroMedia’s streaming services to live broadcast parliamentary proceedings for citizens at home and in the diaspora to all devices, including smartphones.

Since 1999, NetroMedia has served organizations worldwide with streaming solutions including mobile, video, radio, live events and pay-per-view. In light of its global growth, the company has opened new client and technical service centres in London, UK and Ridayh, Saudi Arabia this year.

Covering all aspects of information technology, software and ICT-related services, CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia is the largest information and communication technologies trade show in the region. The Canadian mission to CeBIT is organized by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ontario in partnership with the Canadian Consulate in Istanbul, and includes a business partnering event organized in partnership with Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEIK) and the Canadian Turkish Business Council.
