Che Pinkerton, President and CEO of NetroMedia is pleased to confirm today that NetroMedia will participate in the Government of Canada’s Information and Communication (ICT) trade mission to Mexico from February 22 to 26, 2010.

"By leveraging evolving tactical shifts in consumer behaviour, this trade mission is another example of how NetroMedia’s streaming platforms are well positioned to cost-effectively deliver emerging interactive content," said Mr. Pinkerton.

The Canadian ICT trade mission is an integral component of the administration’s services to promote Canadian products and services such as the online communication platforms offered by NetroMedia to potential organizations in the lucrative Latin American marketplace.

"Our strategic goal is ultimately about exploring innovative avenues to reinforce the management of emerging communication protocols," said Jim Piper, NetroMedia’s Director of Global Online Business. "In an increasingly complex media environment, a successful campaign must be focused towards Web 2.0 platforms where the primary audience has embraced the digital-lifestyle."

The Canadian Trade Commissioner Service in Mexico is hosting ICT companies from February 22 to 26. This event will be held concurrently with the Broadband Forum at Expo Comm 2010. The B3 Forum is Mexico’s most important telecom tradeshow and will take place in Mexico City from February 23-25.

A customized matchmaking program will be organized by the Government of Canada’s Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in Mexico City (February 23-25) as well as Monterrey on Monday, February 22 and Guadalajara on Friday, February 26.

"NetroMedia has invested significant global resources into the development of Internet streaming that meets the demands of clients in the entertainment, e-business and broadcast industries," said Mr. Pinkerton.
