What do I need to stream to NetroMedia?

Please do not make purchases based solely on this information – please confirm with the NetroMedia Technical team before any planned purchase. NetroMedia recommends that a dedicated system is used for encoding, a system that is used exclusively for encoding. For mobile broadcasting a quad core system with at least 4gb of ram is recommended coupled with a PCI capture card, we do not recommend the use of USB capture cards.   Encoder requirements: Standard Flash Live (If mobile will ever be a requirement, see mobile options below) In order to stream to flash you will need an encoder capable of sending the following codecs:
  • Video: H.264, VP6
  • Audio: AAC, MP3, NellyMoser (NellyMoser not recommended)
  • Compatible software encoders: Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder (recommended), Wirecast, XSplit Broadcaster, Open Broadcaster
