I’ve set-up my Pull, how does NetroMedia find it?
When using a Pull method, NetroMedia will connect to your broadcast using your IP address, or the address of your IP redirector.
If you need to determine your IP address simply go to www.netro.ca/setup
You will also need to supply NetroMedia with the port # you chose to broadcast on.
Since NetroMedia will be connecting to your PC, you will need to configure your router to allow access.
Use www.portforward.com to find instructions on setting up port forwarding on your particular router. You should configure it to allow access from any IP address.
Note: You can use the HTML settings from www.portforward.com when setting up your router to allow streaming.
You may need to change the settings on your firewall or disable your firewall for the Pull to function properly. You may have more than one firewall installed.
When testing your Live Pull, if you cannot connect by IP, NetroMedia will not be able to connect either. |
