The following information is intended to demonstrate NetroMedia's concern and capacity to ensure your Internet files are secure.

Distribution Networks:

The NetroMedia server matrix is distributed from three unique geographic points in North America. Our servers are located in Dallas, New York and California.

Furthermore, our distribution highway is hosted by tier-one suppliers like AT & T, Sprint, Time Warner, and MCI. With our alliance partners, we are able to develop broadband programs that meet your specific streaming requirements.

Security:

There are numerous interpretations of what Internet security looks like.

For most of our client base, a PHP or ASP log-in page connected to your database may be just the solution to secure customer access to archived files from your website. For specific high-level security issues, a robust DRM encryption process may be required.

Internet Digital Rights Management programs (DRM) can create very secure encrypted digital files to enhance your security protocols. While DRM systems can be expensive, they represent specific features to meet the exacting demands of many industries that require encrypted security access to digital content.

DRM is a process where your server creates a unique padlock (encryption) on your digital file that can only be unlocked with a specific key.

Once the file is encrypted by your server, it is streamed by NetroMedia to your client's server. The client server detects that the stream is encrypted and proceeds to an embedded url within the stream header to request a license for a key to unlock (decrypt) the file.

A third-party application server receives the request and steps through a number of checks to verify authenticity of the request. If the request passes specific business logic, the server proxies the license request. The client server utilizes the key to decrypt the stream. The key is then removed from the client's server. (Most licenses are one time, but can be customized for longer duration)
