Streaming Video from Second Life

Streaming Video from Secondlife is a fairly simple process

What you need

  • A SecondLife account
  • A PC powerful enough to run both Second Life and Windows Media Encoder
  • A netromedia Windows Media Streaming account
  • A Website or some way to provide the streaming link to your broadcast

Setting up your broadcast

  1. Load up Second Life and have it running in Windowed mode
  2. Start windows Media Encoder and create a custom session 
  3. For your source, use the screen capture feature and select the Second Life window 
  4. When you start encoding, your broadcast will be exactly what is happening in your Second Life window
  5. Privide your netroMedia streaming link to your audience
