NetroMedia streaming account.
How does it work?
You can stream your content to mobile devices either Live or On-Demand (archived). The streaming format you decide to use depends on the devices you are broadcasting to, whether an iPhone, BlackBerry, Nexus One, or different 3G capable mobile devices.
It is important to note that although most modern 3G mobiles are capable of receiving streaming media; some Communications Providers do not support delivery of video/audio over their 3G network.
Streaming media can be delivered to any mobile device over a wireless network, although some mobile devices support only specific codec profiles.
On Demand Mobile Streaming:
Simply upload your encoded video or audio to NetroMedia's streaming server (using the supplied FTP). You can then embed it on your mobile webpage, or send your audience a link (via SMS / Email), and they can start enjoying your stream!
Live Mobile Streaming:
First you must encode your streaming media using the proper encoding software. Your encoder will convert and broadcast the live feed captured by your PC's audio or video card to NetroMedia's streaming servers - which will instantly handle distribution to end-user mobile devices.
Additional attention will be needed to format the stream according to the mobile devices you want to reach. In some cases, you may want to stream in multiple formats to fully reach your potential audience.
How much does it cost?
Pennies per broadcast hour. NetroMedia has a complete range of pricing options for first-time streamers as well as multi Terra-Byte broadcasters. Available options includes:
